yes, we really do pray for you when you ask.
The day I got married, I became a parent to a 5 and 6 year old. Step-Parent if you must, but a parent none-the-less. The day we got home from our honeymoon we started something with our kids that still happens every day. We have prayer time together after dinner or before bed. We also like to include a devotion, but mostly we focus on prayer. This is the best thing we have EVER done with our kids.
We started a prayer journal to show the kids that God really does answer prayer. We talked in great depth over the year how God doesn't always say "yes", sometimes it's "no", or "wait". I have to say it has taught myself so much about prayer too. No prayer is too small...we have prayed for pets, acquaintances, kids at school, but also, illness, jobs, coming babies..you name it.
You can be assured if you have asked us to pray for it, it gets prayed for. Showing our kids the power of God has been incredible! If you are a parent I truly believe that praying with your kids is such a teachable moment for both of you that you will be blessed if you do it with them. Maybe even start a journal? These are a small sample of our journal.

This is awesome!
What a great thing to do with the kids and as a record that God truly keeps His promises.
Pam I knew that you guys did the journal, thanks for posting this.
Yep it made me cry...stupid hormones :)
GREAT IDEA. Rachel loves to write things down. I can't believe we haven't thought of this. And I think it would help Adam in this area because he has a hard time focusing. In general. :)
