Christmas Break Was So Nice

Our Christmas was wonderful. The kids of course enjoyed their day with us, my parents and my brother. Hannah got a cute little baby boy doll from Mammy and it has quickly become a favorite. She is such a little mama. She will a super big sister with all the practice she is getting :) James got his cool walkie talkies that he took down the road to try out today in our 18 inches plus of snow. I really liked them too!! I can call him back home without yelling down the road for all to hear. :)

James and I both got some cool gift from my parents. James got the addictive game Ticket To Ride from Chris - a real winner!!

Probably my favorite gift is this perfectly beautiful cradle. My Dad built it for the baby and James and I got a little weepy about it last night. It's so perfect for our little one. We can't wait to fill it with our little guy soon.

The other nice blessing I received this past Christmas was a really relaxing week. The kids went to their mom's, James went back to work for a few days, and I stayed at Mom and Dad's and relaxed. It was SO NICE! Thank you again for letting me do that Mom and Dad. I felt refreshed and ready to go as Hannah walked through the door with the flu last night. Yep, we got the plauge here. Poor kid. Back to normal life here today!

We pray you all had a just as wonderful Christmas' and Happy New Year to all of you!

How did we all end up with such talented fathers? Casey's dad built us a cradle when Rachel was born, and he made one for Sarah's little one, too!
Do you know what I love about your cradle? That it fits a real mattress in it. You can use that for quite a while. It really is beautiful.

The cradle is beautiful! I didn't ask my dad to make yet another one, since there are a few in our family. Oh, Kara, I may want to borrow that cradle. :)

It is so beautiful. Plus it was made with love. I adore handmade presents. Especially, one so useful!

You should check out Dad's blog to see how he came up with the idea. I am so blessed to have such a talented father.

I wished I wouldn't have spent the money on a crib. When you lay a baby down they want to be rocked just like that crib will!!! I have a small metal crib that is smaller and then the kids graduate into a bed. Both of my kids did really well at staying in their beds. THat is after putting them back into bed 20 times over 4 days. :) That bed is amazing!!
