Blogging Has Not Been On Pam's Mind

It is probably apropos that this is my first blog entry ever. This is James. I am happy to report that at 9:02pm a happy baby boy was born in some hospital somewhere in the world, but not in this particular hospital. Water broke at noon, but contractions have stayed at 6 minutes. Pitocin started about an hour ago and contractions are coming stronger and faster now. No more time to chat, I am being called to help with another contraction.

I'm glad you were able to stop feeding those ice chips to give us an update. Thanks!

Kelly Glupker said...

Oh, the ice chips! Help her out and sneak her some water if you can. The ice chips are not enough!

TraceyLD said...

I think the purpose of the ice chips is to give the hubby something to do.

Good job Brother!! Keep encouraging Pam. I hope there is a baby tomorrow when I come down!! :) See you then.

Keep it up, James! I'm sure you're a pro with the ice chips.

Pam (and James),

I've been thinking about you all throughout the day at work... This is such a BIG day for you, hang in there!! Your little one will be here soon (yes, that is YOUR baby that is on the way, as you probably are now well aware of as the contractions clamp down). Praying that the delivery goes well.
Lots-of-love,

Sarah

That's a good idea Tracey. Ben thought the T.V. in the room was so he would have something to do. He watched the Tigers while I was in labor and then proceeded to give me play by play information. I didn't have enough energy in between contractions to tell him I DIDN'T CARE!

AMEN!
Okay now I am starting to look pathetic.
I will check again before bed. If I can wait that long. I am so excited!

Kara said...

OK, it's morning, I'm dying to know. Maybe I should check my email and see if anything is there?!?! I can't stand it any longer!

TraceyLD said...

I've just checked my e-mail and no news. I was up in the night praying. I know babies are on their own time schedule. So I need to be patient. I'm sure it has been a long night for Pam and James.

pam and james win the most hit in one day for blogging !!!!

Our first blogging delivery okay so it's labor at this point. I thought of this last night and wasnt' sure if Kelly had posted on her blog from the hospital but I checked and she posted afterwards giving us all the details.
Kara and Laurie we expect the same when you two go in!

Laurie said...

Is he here yet? Can't wait to hear how you are doing Pam, and to see pictures of that little bundle of joy. Still praying...

I'm starting to get a little concerned. I wonder if she stopped dialating. Seems like if he isn't here yet they would be doing a c-section. Of course, first time labors are really long (unless you're Kara) and I don't know when Pam started.

Laurie said...

I was wondering the same thing Kelly. My sister didn't have her baby until about 16 hours after they gave her the pitocin though.

Tracey, Dean never leaves home without his blackberry and laptop. We'll be sure to update while we're in the hospital too. I'm actually hoping/praying to be like Kara though. :)

Rachel wasn't THAT fast... my water broke around 12:30 p.m., and she was born at 7:11pm. OK, now that ponder what Pam is going through it seems fast. We are all praying for you Pam!

TraceyLD said...

Thanks Laurie or should I say thanks Dean. This has been fun! Add a whole new dimension to a friend having a baby.
Okay..I'm trying not be be concerned but thoughts have ran through my mind then I remember that babies take time. Our God is in control!

I was up in the night praying too! Okay we are going to Tucson today so Kara call me if something comes up :)
