Memorial Day Part 2

Hartland's big celebration each year is Memorial Day. The whole town comes out to celebrate. They do a really good job of honoring our veterans which is what the day is really all about. One house away is the historical cemetery and they had a nice ceremony there. The high school band played patriotic music, the VA hospital brings the vets over so they are honored appropriately, a pastor gives and invocation and there is a 21 gun salute followed by taps. It's really nice.
We went from there and watched the parade. I sure wish Hannah and James had been there to see their friends, teachers and so many more in the parade. It's just not the same without them. Chris, Angie, Mom and Dad came down and spent the day with us. After the parade we played games and cooked out. What a nice, relaxing day.
I put captions on all these pictures, but for some reason they are not there now.

I accidently put my curser on each picture as it went by and I could read your captions.

I also liked the picture of Evan and his sucker! :) It was fun to see your town, but that parade was sorely missing tractors... were there any tractors?

Oh and that was a beautiful picture of the American flag ,Pam!
