A Fun Weekend

We had such a fun weekend. It started with a great Friday. Uncle Chris finally came out to visit. The kids had been asking all week when he was coming. So he came and we had fun carving our pumpkins, he played some games with the kids and we all watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown". It was so much funnier when you're watching it with a kids who is watching it for the first time.
Saturday we just hung around until afternoon then went to Mom and Dad's house for the night. We played Settlers, Scrabble and Alhambra for hours.
My birthday was Sunday and Mom went all out for lunch. It was like Thanksgiving! Smoked Turkey, cheesy potatoes, salad with homemade maple dressing (mmmm) and squash (my favorite vegtable). To top it all off, a 4 layer pumpkin cake!! If you want to see it, dad has a picture of it on his blog.
All in all, a really fun weekend.

Hi Wickmans. Happy Birthday Pam. Sorry I missed your birthday meal. Your family brings back memories of our children. We try to get together once a month. Jim and I enjoy every opportnity with our kids. To love them, be with them, and service them in ways that we can. It brings joy. Pam do you remember Estes Park and the elk that you saw? Hugs Robin
