It's been a while

I just realized I haven't posted in a while. Life has been pretty routine, yet at the same time really busy. I have officially become the 1st grade Room Mother. I have to say that I love it! The kids crack me up and Hannah thinks it's about the coolest thing ever to have me there. That gives me huge warm fuzzies.
The weekend was fun, we went to our firends home in Ann Arbor. Jason and Jennifer. Jason was in our wedding and they are such a fun couple. Jason runs a Girl Scout camp there and we were able to take the kids on a hayride. Sorry I don't have any pictures.
The highlight of the kids weekend was getting to spend the night at my mom and dad's on Sunday. They didn't have school on Monday so this was a perfect time for them. They stayed up late and watched movies, Mammy made yummy chocolate chip cookies and they had a blast! Monday they worked with dad in his workshop and they each made a project out of wood. Dad of course used the power equipment for obvious safety reasons. James sure was impressed with them anyway! He made a car as you see in the picture and Hannah made a birdhouse. Pappy let Hannah paint her birdhouse so it will have to wait a couple of weeks for a picture of that. The paint is so thick it will take that long to dry. Mom and Dad brought the kids back to our house and they stayed for dinner. It is so much fun to cook and I love having people over, you all are welcome anytime!
