A Day Off

Today the kids had the day off from school. The school is getting new windows. So James decided to take the day off from work too and we had, so far, a fun family day.

This morning we went up the road. Literally 1 or 2 miles up the road to Spicers Orchard to check it out. They have a great FREE kids area. Petting farm, tractors to sit on, a zip line to play on, tractor trikes to race and a wooden train to play on. They also have some small buildings, or playhouses for the kids too. An old schoolhouse and an old church. We had a lot of fun!! Did I mention it's all free?? We did of course have to get cider and a pumpkin doughnut before we left. I got myself a caramel apple since no one else in my family appreciates my fall favorite.

We went to the library and picked out a movie to watch as a family tonight and that should round out our day. It's been fun just hanging out together.

Looks like fun. We will have to go there for a visit when we are down next week.

I love that sort of thing. Lou (across the street) wants to go to Leaman's, maybe we'll do that next week.

My brother called yesterday to invite us to the twins b-day party next weekend- they are going to have a hay ride!!!
