Whilrwind Weekend!

Our weekend seems like a blur. Friday was ok, but then Saturday was crazy!

Saturday the kids had a football game in Fowlerville. In the POURING rain. No lightning so they play. The kids had fun the first half, then they were just cold and ready for it to be over. On the bright side, James' team scored!! Their first of the season. Evan and I watched from the car.
We were going to Lansing after the game and since it's 1/3 of the way it didn't make sense for Evan and I to come in another car. So, the first half of the game, Evan and I wandered around Wal-Mart, then we hung out in the car. He did really good!

Lansing. We went to see the kids Great Grandma Ruby. She is 82 and had never met Evan. She is only in Michigan part of the year and spends the rest is Florida so it was important to us to get to see her. Her health is not what it used to be but she sure is spunky! She was taken with Evan and amazed at how Hannah and James had grown. Evan and grandma Ruby just stared at each other a lot. It was cute.

We then went to visit with James' mom and Grandma Jones. We planned to meet them at a restaurant. (better for all of us) They wanted Texas Roadhouse. Ok? Noisy!! Evan hated it there! Kara, remember Rachel at Olive Garden when she was about 6 months old? That's how the end of our visit went. At least it was only for 10 minutes. He was tired, tired of not being able to scoot and wiggle.

All in all though, the day was good. The kids did great considering the circumstances. It was nice to see family and introduce Evan. None of the had yet met him and of course he charmed them with his smile and hugs. It's good to be home today though.

Our church offers it. They sent one our our financial Deacons to the Dave Ramsey training thing. It's really nice to have it so close. It's actually been used as a great outreach for the church.

Pam, you are a good sport. I do remember the Olive Garden experience. Unfortunately. :)
Glad you still want to be my friend.
