Christmas Parties (Yesterday)

A little late, but better than never.
The kids had their Christmas parties yesterday. Their last day was Thursday. James' class had a traditional kind of party. They made a gingerbread house out of graham crackers and a ton of frosting. The kids had so much candy! I about cracked up when the mom in charge told the kids not to eat any. Yeah right!! We had fun, ate lots and played bingo. He partied just like 4th graders should :)
Hannah had a VERY different party. They had just finished studying about pioneer days and reading Little House books so they had a "Pioneer Christmas" party. They all dressed up like pioneers or Indians. There was one pirate...not sure why. Her teacher invited all the other 3rd grade classes and they had a sing-a-long that lasted almost 45 minutes. Hannah loved it!! They ate fruit, bread and butter, frosted sugar cookies (which Hannah has decided she doesn't like this year!) molasses cookies and popcorn. They played simple games like checkers. It was fun and different. We enjoyed that one too.
All in all, a great day at school!
