Sweet Notes

This is a quick one.
Hannah has started writing me notes and leaving them on my pillow. This was the note last night after talking about Christmas lists. Also talking to them about how they get more gifts than the average kid because they have 2 Christmas celebrations every year and letting them know that we won't be going overboard on gifts because we don't want to focus on gifts. We left it at that and just let them think about it.
"Mom,

I love you very much. Even when I'm mad at you. Even when you tell me what to do. No matter what. You're the best. I know you love me too. I know presents aren't Christmas. Jesus and love are.
love,
Hannah"
Doesn't that melt your heart????? It did mine. In her eight year old world when kids can get so greedy she gets it. Christ is Christmas. Now, she likes presents and has her moments like the rest of us, but to know that in her heart she is clear. Sigh. Good news!
I know I say this a lot but, I am so blessed to be in my kids lives. I love them!

So precious! Rachel likes notes, too. Haven't got one in a while, maybe I'll have her read your blog. :)

How sweet. She left a note for you on your pillow about the real meaning of Christmas...priceless.
Great picture of the kids, by the way.
