Why Blog?

This is a question I get asked A LOT! In fact it seemed to be a hot topic at MOPS when they found out I did blog. (I had suggested a blog to keep up with each other from MOPS.)
My reasons for blogging are these: I want my family and friends near and far to be able to feel like they are in touch with our family. This has proven to be what I call successful. I no longer feel as though we are disconnected except for occasional visits or phone calls. I love it! I'm proud of my family and am so glad to share them with you all.
My next reason is to keep a sort of journal for my kids. I don't scrapbook. I'm really proud of myself for getting all the pictures into books that I can write next to the picture. The kids like to read the blog and someday they will be able to read what we did electronically. Oh I still print pictures and write stories in their books, but this blog is another good record of our lives.

So my question to you? Who is reading this blog?? I know there are quite a few of you, only a few comment. My husband is not a big blogger, nor does he read this, so he thinks only a few read ours. If you read, will you please put a comment?
Thank you!!

It was a happy day for him when he gave us our new lives, through the truth of his Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family. JAMES 1:18 LB

I read your blog and I also blog for the same reasons. I feel much closer to my cousins now that we blog - before we only saw each other or spoke to one another at Christmas time. It's such a great way to stay connected with people once you move away. With technology, you never really have to say goodbye. And I also like the idea of this being a journal for my kids to look at later in life. If I hadn't blogged about certain events, I wouldn't remember many stories that I would one day want to share with my children.

Mom reads it every day - even though we talk on the phone every day. I look forward to the pictures of my grandchildren. I don't get to see them every day! Thanks for the pictures and the extra ones via email.

Our family is so big...we've got cousins from 19-50ish years old, Blogging is a great way to keep in touch, I wish more of our cousins would join in. I love to hear stories similar to mine and to know I'm not the only one going through all the good and sometimes bad times. Keep it up, and I can't wait to see you guys on Saturday. Thankfully Wyatt is feeling better and we can come visit!
