Greenfield Village

Thursday before Memorial Day weekend James IV went on a field trip to Greenfield Village. He asked so sweetly if I would go with his class I couldn't say no. He even wanted me to ride the bus with him!
The weather was perfect and we had such a nice time. All the kids in his class had to study and be the "guide" for one building there. So our tour guides were the kids. So interesting to hear all they learned. James eager to get to his building and tell his story. Made the day go by really fast though.
If you haven't been there in a while, it is nicer than I remember and really fun!

I would actually like to live on the premises and pretend time never passed...

I'm about due for a trip to the Village. What building did James give a tour of?

Kara - James gave a tour of the Adams home. He was a financially prominant (sp?) man. Made his living selling books, I think. So many buildings! Oh yes, Mr Adams was also a minister. Not very common for a minister to have lots of money in those days.
